Uganda: MP Odonga Otto injured in Luweero road accident

Mr Odonga Otto, the Aruu County MP is nursing injuries after being involved in a road accident at Katugo, Luweero District on Friday morning.

The MP was travelling from Gulu to Kampala in a Toyota Prado Reg. No. UBA 832S. The Reg. No. of the truck is UAV 837J.

Police Chief Political Commissar Mr Asan Kasingye said the MP and his driver, who were briefly hospitalised at Bishop Ceaser Asili hospital in Luweero, are being transfered to Kampala for further treatment.

He wrote on his twitter handle @AKasingye:  “This was human error. The driver [Otto’s driver] was flagged down by the Police. But, he drove on. They are out of danger. Let’s wish them quick recovery.”
