Uganda: Yoweri Museveni visits Daniel Moi and Rebecca Kadaga

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has called on retired president Daniel Moi at his Kabarnet Gardens home in Nairobi County.

“The visit is a sign of the deep relationship that they have built over the years and I am glad that it is still flourishing up to date,” said Senator Gideon Moi on his Facebook page.

According to Mr Moi’s Press Secretary Lee Njiru, the visiting Ugandan President paid a visit to Mzee Moi who was in Nairobi for a routine medical check-up.

“President Museveni visited Mzee Moi and together they had a chat before he wished him well,” said Mr Njiru.

Mr Njiru further revealed that the Ugandan President later visited Ugandan National Assembly Speaker Rebecca Kadaga, who is being treated in a Nairobi hospital after she was flown from Kampala early this week.

President Museveni also through his Twitter account announced that he had visited the former Head of State.

“This morning l visited former President Daniel arap Moi and Speaker Rebecca Adaga who is recuperating in hospital. I wish them quick recovery,” read part of his tweet.

KU LECTURE

The Ugandan leader has been in the country since Wednesday. On Thursday, the Ugandan leader rode on the standard gauge railway from Mombasa to Nairobi after being hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Coast State House.

During his tour of Kenya President Museveni and President Uhuru Kenyatta have discussed several issues that affect both countries.

After the visit he headed to Kenyatta University to give a public lecture.
