Janet Museveni’s successor dies

KAMPALA –The Member of Parliament for Ruhaama, who replaced Janet Museveni as the area parliamentary representative has died.

William Beijukye Zinkuratiire Palrilane has died at Nsambya Hospital Kampala on Saturday after a short illness, said one of the family members.

The Parliament spokesperson, Chris Obore Confirmed his death and said parliament was condoling with his family.

Beijukye, 46, replaced the wife of President Museveni after she resigned from elective politics in 2015.

He becomes the fourth MP to die in the 10th Parliament, following Iganga Woman MP Hailat Grace Kaudha, Toroma County MP Amodoi Cyrus Imalingat and Moroto Woman MP Annie Logiel.

Burial arrangements are yet to be communicated.
