Officials: Swiss couple murdered in Kenya; gardener arrested

MOMBASA – A Kenya police official says the bodies of a slain elderly Swiss couple have found dumped along a roadside in the coastal city of Mombasa.

Coast Region Police Commander Larry Kieng identified the couple as Werner Borner Paul and Marriane Hornel. He said Sunday that both were Kenyan residents.

Kieng says the couple’s gardener has been arrested and authorities are looking for a caretaker and guard of the premises where the couple lived.
