Five people died and three others were seriously injured after the van they were travelling in collided head-on with a lorry in Embu County on Wednesday.
The Toyota Sienta minivan and the lorry collided at Kibugua area, along the Mutunduri-Kianjokoma road in Embu West.
The passenger vehicle was traveling towards Kianjokoma while the lorry was on its way to Embu town.
The injured were taken to Embu Level Five Hospital
