Police in Makueni have finally arrested David Nzomo, the man who was filmed in a video that has gone viral viciously beating his wife.
Confirming the arrest on Thursday, Makueni County Police Commander Joseph ole Naipeyan said Nzomo was seized in Nguuni, Kibwezi West Constituency.
Winfred Mwende was filmed receiving a beastly beating from her husband.
Due to her tiny frame, many who watched the viral video suspected she is a minor.
But Mwende is in fact a mother of three aged 35.
Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji had on Tuesday directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to arrest Nzomo and have him charged.
