Ethiopia to supply electricity to Tanzania

Ethiopia agreed to supply 400 MW electricity to Tanzania.

Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn paid a two-day state visit to Tanzania as of Friday.

During his stay, the premier  held talks with Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli on various bilateral issues.

The two countries also signed agreements to cooperate in tourism, trade and investment, technology and prevention of human trafficking.

Regarding the power supply, Magufuli said a high-voltage power transmission line would be extended via Kenya.
