Marsabit Central OCPD Abel Sande found dead on Christmas Day

Marsabit Central OCPD Abel Sande was found dead on the evening of Christmas Day in his house in Marsabit town.

Eastern region police commander Gideon Amalla said he had not been answering calls prompting a check by the station commander. He said he was found dead in his bed.

A postmortem will be carried out but officers who did not want to be named said they suspected a heart attack.

Sande had served as OCPD for just a month. He had worked in BOmet in the same capacity before the transfer.

He was moved to Marsabit following complaints that he was biased.
