Five people are reported dead and several others seriously injured in a motor accident along Kampala-Gulu highway.

An eye witness told Daily Monitor that the accident happened at Wakisanyi village, between River Kafu and Kigumba in Kiryandongo District when a fully packed bus travelling to Gulu collided with a sport utility vehicle (SUV) heading to Kampala.

All the five occupants of the SUV died on the spot.
According to him, the driver of the speeding SUV was trying to overtake another car when he collided with the bus registration number UAQ 045Q, which was coming in the opposite direction.
By press time, police was still looking for some body parts of the deceased while the body of the SUV driver was still stuck in the wreckage.
Details of the deceased are also still scanty.
Bodies of the deceased were taken to Kiryandongo hospital for post-mortem.
Seven of the injured were also taken to Kiryandongo hospital for treatment.
