Police stuck with arrested radio presenter

Police are reportedly stuck with Top radio presenter, Richard Kasule alias Omugagga Kamagu.
Last evening, when they were done with the interviews, Police preferred charges of publication of false news against him.

They later understood that it was struck out of the Penal Code Act (Cap.120).
They are now looking for the new offence to charge him with.

Mr Kasule was arrested yesterday morning at Top Radio station in Bwaise on Bombo Road, immediately after he had concluded hosting his daily morning show.

It is alleged that Kamagu made statements about regional imbalance on his show. Kamagu also allegedly talked about the inefficiencies in the police force.

That was not his first time to be arrested. In November 2013, Kamagu and two other journalists were arrested on charges of incitement to violence.
