Uganda’s inflation falls to 2.1pc in February

Uganda’s year-on-year inflation fell to 2.1 per cent in February from 3.0 per cent the previous month, due to a drop in the price of items such as sugar, bread and some cereals, the statistics office said on Wednesday.

Core inflation, which excludes food, electricity and metered water, fell to 1.7 per cent during the period from 2.6 previously, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics said
