Traffic officer knocked dead on duty

Authorities in Kampala are hunting for a bus driver who knocked dead a traffic officer on duty.

Police say No 28729 Cpl Wilfred Tweituk, a traffic officer attached to old Kampala police station was knocked on Friday by a bus owned by Devine Bus Company while on duty along Kabakanjagala-Nabunya junction along Rubaga road.


Police say the driver of the bus registration number UBA 684T fled the scene abandoning the MV on the road.

A case file number TSD ref 25/9/03/2018 has been opened at Old Kampala police station.
