18 injured as Kampala bound bus overturns in Kasese

At least 18 passengers have been admitted to Kagando and Kilembe hospitals following a bus accident that happened along Kasese-Mbarara road.

Authorities say the Link Company bus registration number UAW 354V was travelling to Kampala when it overturned at Kikorongo trading centre in Kasese District on Monday morning.

Mr Julius Tusingwire, the Rwenzori East regional police said they are still investigating the cause of the accident.

The driver is reportedly on the run. Police urged road users to always be vigilant when travelling.
