Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s win upheld

The Court of Appeal has dismissed a petition against re-election of Migori Governor Okoth Obado.

Justice Steven Gatembu, who read out the ruling, said the High Court did not err in throwing out the petition filed by former minister Ochillo Ayacko.

The court ruled Mr Ayacko failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the election was not conducted within the law.

But the court revised the cost of suit slapped on Mr Ayacko by the High Court from Sh6m to Sh3m.
