ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian government has confirmed that Somali government has extradited a senior leader of the Somali-ethnic rebel group fighting the government to the Ethiopian intelligence.
Communications Minister Negeri Lencho told Voice of America’s Amharic Service Thursday that Somalia handed over the ONLF official Abdikarim Sheikh Muse last week.
According to sources, Somalia has handed over Mr. Muse who was flown to Addis Ababa in a small plane in the Somali capital.
Ethiopia says Abdikarim Sheikh Muse is a member of a “terrorist” organization but ONLF says they’re “freedom fighters”.
